Front-end Web Developer (UI) -
This full-time, on-site position with the Application Features team offers a combination of front-end web development, design, and application definition. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, CSS, and HTML, along with solid user interface design skills.
This position is part of the UI team that works with the product development team in an agile development process. The UI team also works with Product Management to define and prototype new designs.
Responsibilities:
* Build the user interface and the UI component libraries for our products, maintaining compliance with web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility guidelines.
* Work with product developers to develop and implement consistent user interface elements to be used throughout Kavi's applications.
* Work with the Professional Services team to configure and deploy Kavi applications.
* Participate actively in product development and design.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum three years experience in web software development.
* Demonstrated ability to produce rich web-based application interfaces using progressive enhancement techniques to support a variety of web clients.
* Solid standards-based web authoring skills, specifically the ability to write valid JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
* Experience building and maintaining web application interfaces including complex form layout, workflows, and interaction design.
* Experience developing Ajax applications. Experience with the jQuery framework is a plus.
* Significant experience with the design of one or more complex web-based systems.
* Experience with LAMP-based web site development.
* Demonstrated experience in designing usable web-based interfaces and a strong visual design sense.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
* Forward-looking yet pragmatic approach to web technology.
